From 2022, the Victorian Government is introducing new kindergarten funding to support every child in their two years before school.

We're considering how the additional Victorian Government funding will benefit Boroondara families and local early childhood education and care providers.

We want Boroondara families to be able to enrol their children with their preferred kinder program provider, whether that's sessional or long day care.

Sessional kindergartens are run on certain days at specific times. Sessions are usually shorter than a business day.

Long day care centres offer a full day of childcare, including kindergarten programs. Hours of care vary across centres, but most offer 40 hours per week.

No matter where your child goes to kindergarten, teachers and trained educators will lead the program.

We also want to help Boroondara early childhood education and care providers consider the implications of any changes in demand for sessional and long day care kindergarten programs.

We're running this survey so we can better understand and advocate for kindergarten programs that meet the needs of Boroondara families.
